This book, although written about a very different time, reflects a lot of the same things that are going on today during the COVID19 pandemic.  In reading this, I had such a sense of sorrow for what the people who were alive during earlier pandemics went through.  This book is very dry, using very scientific and medical terms, but also goes through the lives of those renowned scientists of the time.
